CPS Professor Elected as Distinguished Practitioner

Center for Psychological Studies professor William Dorfman, Ph.D., was elected as a Distinguished Practitioner to the National Academies of Practice in Psychology (NAP).

There are 10 Academies of Practice within NAP, each representing different health care professions-Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Optometry, Osteopathic Medicine, Pharmacy, Podiatric Medicine, Psychology, Social Work, and Veterinary Medicine. Most elected members are distinguished practitioners and scholars who have achieved distinction while spending a significant portion or all of their careers in direct patient care. Only 150 practitioners or scholars may be elected to each Academy.
