NIH Awards NSU 5-Year Multi-Site RO1 Grant

Professor F. Charles (Bud) Mace. Ph.D. of the Center for Psychological Studies and the Mailman Segal Center received notice of award from the National Institute of Health (NIH) 5-year multi-site RO1 award. The multi site grant partners are Nova Southeastern University, Johns Hopkins Kennedy Kreiger Institute, University of Utah, University of New Hampshire, and the UMMS/Shriver Center. The grant entitled Behavioral Persistence: Basic, Translational and Clinical Studies will address behaviors that are barriers to the quality of life of individuals with developmental disabilities and will result in methods to reduce these problem behaviors. This is a critical issue facing children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
